Do you love making things with your hands and using your imagination? Come and get creative with clay at Atelier 't Zoldertje!

Children aged 8 to 14 are welcome to join our pottery classes in a real ceramics studio. Every lesson has a different theme, so there is always something new to make and discover. You can make something beautiful, something funny, a gift for someone special, or something completely your own!

The classes take place once a month on Saturdays, from 14 am to 16.30 am, from January to May. We will work with different types of clay and learn how to shape and decorate our creations. We will not use the pottery wheel; instead, we will make things by hand.

You don't need any experience. Everyone is welcome! I will help you and guide you at your own level, so you can work at your own pace and enjoy being creative.

Clay, creativity and English!

These classes are also a fun way to practise your English. We will speak English while we work, learn new words and use English to talk about our ideas and creations. Don't worry if your English is not perfect! You don't have to understand or speak everything straight away. The most important thing is to have fun, be creative and give it a try.

I have a Master's degree in English and a teaching qualification, with experience teaching both primary and secondary school students. So you will be learning English with a qualified teacher, while having fun with clay!

From a lump of clay to your own creation

And the best part? Your creations won't just stay on a shelf! Suitable pieces will be fired in our ceramics kiln at 1240°C. Some pieces will also be glazed and fired a second time. This means you can take home something you made yourself that you can keep and, in many cases, use too.

You can sign up for a series  6 lessons (January–May).

Please check the dates carefully before booking. If you are unable to attend a lesson for any reason, refunds and make-up lessons are not possible.
